During this confusing time, it is easy to let stress overwhelm you. We went from social distancing to the mass closure of public places in a matter of days. The only outward access for many is interaction over the internet. Newsfeeds and conspiracy theories make our new reality seem so surreal!
In the midst of all this mayhem, we reach out to family and friends through social media, facetime, skype, Snapchat, etc. As a parent that used to guffaw about how often the kiddos were on their phones, I now find myself saying things like:
“You should Snapchat with your friends?”
“Did you and your friends do any more remote group TikTok videos?”
But yesterday, my daughter and I took our dog for a long walk, even though it was raining. Bundled up tight under many layers, we soaked up the fresh air.
It was the best part of the day
and made us forget the worries of the world!
We need to be outdoors… We need to connect with nature…bring life back to reality - take a walk today – even in the rain!
