“We have a playground across the street from our home, which has been torture for both kids- to see it but not be able to play there right now… So we decided to explore other nature spots in our area.
This was the first time we went on a “hike” and my 4-year-old didn’t ask to be carried at all- he was so excited to explore! We taught him about birch trees, moss, deer tracks, rainwater... so many things! ... Even my 20-month old has gotten in on the fun!
We are so thankful to have nature preserves such as these so close. Every weekend… we pick a preserve to visit. It is certainly a highlight of our week!! Thank you for all you do and thank you for keeping these preserves open.”
